New and old property with style and charm
It is well known that structures and buildings are subject to deterioration, especially if they were made using technology that no longer exist; this is why the ownership of a historic structure is a distinct challenge.
Older properties can have style, charm, history and ambiance. The craftsmanship and the attention to details are often unmatched. But one thing they often lack is a modern fit out, comfort and an advanced technology infrastructure.
In this spirit, we are presenting you a good example: a 100 years old structure, a builder and an owner with the same goal – modern facilities and a cost-efficient solution, which still preserves an old style and an up-to-date comfort.
Central location
Located in the ultra-central area of the Bucharest, this historical building has recently been consolidated and converted from an old house (U+GF+F) into a great mixed-use building by attaching a new structure.
The final design offers modern Class A+ office space, apartments and terraces, comfort and style (U+GF+4F+terrace). The result is a remarkable combination between old and new, past and present using modern materials and techniques.
Completely renovated
In the original structure, was kept the initial partitioning and the foundation and walls have been strengthened. The new raised floor was made maintaining the style of the original floor. The original lovely oak staircase, the Austrian terracotta stoves from 19-th century were kept and reconditioned. The original roof was replaced with a beautiful terrace that offers a special perspective.
The facade of the building was completely restored using Roman mortar. The plaster was restored. External decorations were also renewed.
The underground floor offers a nice basement cafeteria and a technical room.
New modern office building
Overall, the effort was quite impressive but now there is value where there wasn’t because of the pursuit of new technologies used.
